Your Greatest Appointment…
…lives within your greatest disappointment.
Because when one door closes, another one opens.
The beauty about this door analogy, is that if the first door didn’t close, there would be no need for us to find the next door. And usually, the next door won’t open anyway, until the first one closes.
Inevitably, to get to one place to the next, we must embrace & learn from closed doors & disappointments, so that we can proceed to the next level, which is our next appointment, our next season.
The dangerous part, and this is where a lot of us fail, is when we get stuck in the corridor, between the closed door behind us, and the next door to be opened in front of us. That’s the corridor of sighs, the corridor of fear, the corridor of giving up, the corridor of indecision, the corridor of self-pity, the corridor of disappointment, the corridor of anger, the corridor of sadness, the corridor of weariness, the corridor of mediocrity. Let’s not stay there.
